Hi

I wonder if anyone has any advice regarding payroll software. I have used Sage in the past, but mainly have been using Iris for the past 8 or so years. Iris have recently updated their software and as a result it has increased in price. I thought I would take the opportunity to look around at what else is available - there is software available at a much lower price but it is hard to know whether it's reliable. I am working for a small firm of Accountants and I run the payroll department for all their clients - I therefore need a bureau system for about 25 companies at least. Most of the clients are small businesses of up to 6 or 7 employees.

Thank you.

Hi Ruth,

  • Payroo is free for up to 9 employees, per PAYE
  • Moneysoft is very good, I have used myself and cost less than £ 70 including VAT

There are other packages you can trial and make your decision. Moneysoft do offer trial for a month.

All the Best,

Nathalie

Thank you Nathalie, I have downloaded the free trial to have a look. It seems so much cheaper than Iris, but it looks comprehensive.

Ruth

I use moneysoft and find it very easy and quick to use and the reporting is much better than sage.

Just choose Moneysoft.  Honestly you'll wish you had changed years ago.
