Hi folks,

I have a meeting with a new client tomorrow morning.  He is making a 450 mile trip to deliver his paperwork and complete some forms.

It just started me thinking, how far from you is your furthest client?

Kris

Hi Stacey,

He came through my website.  I did think it was a very long way to come, but I suppose it's really a once in a while thing, most of the work will be done by email or courier from here on in I would imagine.

450 miles!!!
Well done on that one!!

My one and only client, so far, was only 2 miles away from me, within the same town.  But he has recently moved, 35 miles away.  Not so handy, but no real problem.

Regards

I hate to sound negative, but I would have to question why a client would make that kind of journey to get his accounts and tax prepared when there are likley to be hundreds of accountants and bookkeepers on his doorstep!  Is he trying to hide something?  Make sure you check him/her out thoroughly before accepting this work!

Good luck anyway

Claire

Goodness Claire, you're almost as big a cynic as me.  it did cross my mind, but I guess I was one of the first people to give him a reasonable price and able to complete the work quickly.  everything was by the book and the work for the previous 2 years is complete.   personally, mind where my clients come from as long as they're honest with me (even if its bad, ll try to help) and py me on time
.

I have recently started working for a new client from Manchester roughly 100 miles from Birmingham, nothing to compare with 450 miles. None of my other clients are more than 14 miles from my home.
